The office is open from 9:00 am until 06:00 PM, 7 Days a week.
After hour drop offs are not available.
Minimum rental period is 3 Days and reservation must be made at least 24 hours prior to pickup.
Rates are subjected to change without notice.
COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW)
All cars is us$12.00 per day with a US$700.00 security deposit.
Hiace, 7 seater, rav4, grand vitara us$20:00 per day with a US$1800.00 security deposit.
Collision damage waiver is payable when not using any of these credit cards:
- "Some" MasterCard "world"
- MasterCard business
- All chase credit cards not the debit or the dual
- Citibank visa credit card issued through Costco.
- All these card issued in the United States of America covers.
- MasterCard and visa platinum and gold issued from Canada.
- Diner’s card issued from Europe covered
- All other cards debit or credit will attract the cdw.
- Fully covered cards for rentals in Jamaica
Cardholders have an option to decline to purchase the cdw. The cardholder is responsible to verify and request a copy with the card issuer about coverage and present this at time of rental to the representative.
A nominal deposit will be taken towards loss or damage. If amount for loss or damage exceeds that deposit, the additional amount is cardholder’s responsibility, therefore cardholder will be billed on the credit card for the full amount of loss or damage. Cardholders are entitled to file a claim for reimbursement from their card company. All supporting documentations will be provided for subsequent claims for reimbursement.
Chalis reserves the right to ask for a security deposit. This deposit is not a payment for cdw insurance
Cards without full coverage :- The purchase of cdw is not mandatory. Renters can choose not to purchase any cdw. Such renters will be billed for the full amount of the loss or damage. Chalis reserves the right to ask for a security deposit as a guarantee which could be equivalent of value of the vehicle. This deposit is not payment for cdw but would be used towards loss or damage. If the damage amount exceeds the deposit, the additional amount would become due.
Third party insurance is included in the rental charges.
DRIVERS LICENSE - Canadian, US and International valid driver license accepted. International License will be required if license is not in Roman Alphabet. International License must be accompanied by the drivers domestic license to be valid.
ADDITIONAL DRIVER - One additional driver charge is free of charge.
VEHICLE RETURN - Vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as rented to avoid a refueling service charge.
RENTAL AGE - The minimum rental age is 23, maximum is 70 year old.
PAYMENT METHODS - Debit cards are permited. Chalis Rent a Car accepts all major credit cards. No one other than the person named on the credit card may use that credit card for the deposit. The card holder of the credit card must be present at the time of rental.
PREPAID DISCOUNT/NON-REFUNDABLE RATES - Rules & Restrictions: Payments for bookings at Prepaid Discount/Non-Refundable rates are not refundable and bookings may not be modified. Rates are subject to availability.
